Ellid Charitable Society sign agreement partnership with Catholic Relief Services:
The Ellid Charitable Society in Nablus and the northern West Bank, represented by its Director Executive Mr Alaa Darwish in the office of the representative of Catholic Relief Services in Ramallah and in the presence of Mr. Matt Mikaggrey representative of Catholic Relief Services in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem and the presence of both the program manager of “strengthen community participation “Mr. Ziad Abdullah and actress relations with partner institutions Miss. Ghaidaa Rishmawi, where they signed a partnership agreement for the grant of 108 000 shekels entitled ( THINK!Road safety campaign ) for a period of six months as part of the grant (windows of opportunity) under the supervision of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) within the program of promoting participation of civil society (CPP )and funded of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)
Mr. Darwish said the project is part of ongoing partnership with Relief Services Catholic where the project (THINK!Road safety campaign )aims to activate the role of civil society from individuals and institutions and allow them to influence the issues of various community and deliver their voice to decision makers, project includes the implementation of an advocacy campaign for an issue that is a priority for citizens It is the growing phenomenon of traffic accidents in Palestine, Nablus, particularly where the project will work through a strategy of activating the role of citizens and institutions, civil society, educational institutions and religious issues and integrate them into society.
From his part, Ellid Charitable Society representative body the administration of board director Mr. Jamal Shatara thanked Catholic Relief Services organization for Its faith in the capabilities of Ellid Charitable Society on the implementation of specific projects that contribute to strengthening the participation of civil society to the various segments of Palestinian society.
Mr Jamal Shatara head of the administrative board of the Association of Ellid , said the event is a gesture of thanks for supporting institutions of the Association of Ellid and charitable projects and institutional development, wishing the continuation of this tender of institutions and personalities.
